Jo Foster, an up and coming Yorkshire Race Horse trainer and the winner of over 45 races, is based in the village of Menston, in Yorkshire. Originally a Dairy farm 40 years ago, the yard was turned into a point to point yard around 8 years ago and now houses 18 boxes, horse walker, grass gallop, schooling pen and 300 acres of grass land to work on, with nearby all weather gallops used at sue smiths within hacking distance and an indoor school across the road it has been developed as an ideal base to establish a safe secure environment in which to maximise each individual horses fitness and ability keeping that personal attention. We do all our own breaking and dealing with the youngsters and also run syndicates concentrating on the purchase and breeding of foals and yearlings inorder to produce and sell on as store horses. It was 10 years ago an untamable passion for racing lead Jo from show jumping and hunting circles into point to pointing. Training and riding winners, and a certain amount of soil sampling later, she expanded and took out her full license after owners were keen for her to do so.  Our first year was easy, with winners and placed horses regularly from the small number we had in training, however keeping that going is the key, and after a virus hit the yard over spring and summer we experienced a quiet spell, now that is behind us and the prize money has started to roll in again.  <>To view our facilities click here
